DV/SV COMMUNITY and MOBILE SERVICES PROGRAM DIRECTOR position available at AGAINST ABUSE, INC.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Against Abuse Incorporated provides services and tools for victims of domestic and sexual violence to become empowered and self-sufficient survivors. Services and supports are person/family centered, strength based, self-determined, trauma informed, culturally responsive and confidential. Staff are mindful of their own self-care and seek assistance needed for trauma or vicarious trauma they have experienced from the work they do.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director, the Domestic and Sexual Violence Community and Mobile Services Director provides direct services to adult and child victims as well as program oversight, direction and coordination of community, mobile and community-based transitional living services and staff. Responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of empowerment, trauma informed service delivery, and healthy self-care. Ensures quality programming is delivered through proper supervision of health, safety and well-being of individuals served.

GENERAL DUTIES, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, implement and maintain DV/SV Community and Mobile programs,
2. Provide trauma informed oversight, supervision and training for sexual assault advocates, community based educators and case managers (who do not have offices in shelter locations), volunteers and interns,
3. Provide oversight and participate in community engagements, communications and social media,
4. Be available by phone for staff support at all times,
5. Complete staff evaluations in a timely manner,
6. Assist with direct services:
a. Safety planning, advocacy, case management, crisis intervention, staffing of client cases and other direct services as needed,
b. Provide accompaniment to SANE exam and/or hospital, education on the process, advocacy during medical exams, and with law enforcement interviews and follow-ups,
c. Lay legal advocacy and accompaniment for OOP’s victim impact statements, victim rights and victims’ compensation,
d. Provide or arrange for transportation for needs, services, arising from victimization or case planning,
e. Be available for on-call shifts to respond to survivors during days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays on a rotation basis.
7. Participate in regular staff and management meetings,
8. In conjunction with the DV/SV Residential Services Director, construct:
a. Program evaluation(s)
b. Program materials such as program manuals
c. Staff training curricula,
d. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of statistical data, program summaries and reports, maintaining contract compliance.
9. Participate in the alignment of program activities with agency strategic plan, mission and procedures,
10. Through professional networking and collaboration, encourage community referrals to increase service utilization and development of community partners,
11. Attend coalitions, task force meetings, etc., to ensure interagency coordination,
12. Conduct outreach/tabling events to reach potential victims in the community,
13. Seek and identify additional supportive funding and grant opportunities, as well as participate as a team member to assist with grant writing requirements,
14. Must possesses excellent leadership and communication skills,
15. Must possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and working knowledge of data base software,
16. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.,
17. Must have a valid driver’s license and demonstrate proof of current vehicle insurance,
18. Other related duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Experience in domestic and sexual violence services. Three (3) years progressive supervisory experience. Bachelor degree required, with an emphasis in social services or related field.
