SALARY $55,000 FSLA Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV) Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing the functions of human resources including hiring staff, payroll administration, benefit administration, leave employee engagement, and enforcement of company policies and practices.

The Human Resources Manager must uphold the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of ACESDV.

 CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes Title IX training, anti-harassment training, and cybersecurity training and job specific training.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental staff to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation, onboarding and welcome.
  • Coordinates employee recognition, staff meetings, and staff retreats.
  • Attends and participates in employee improvement meetings, terminations, and investigations. Responds to unemployment claims and other state claims.
  • Responds to and coordinates employee grievance investigations.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure an equitable wage scale in line with ACESDV values.
  • Constructs and implements employee surveys, 360 reviews and employee assessment processes.
  • Coordinates benefit administration including open enrollment.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies, handbooks, and practices to maintain compliance for employees, interns, and volunteers.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Support and participate in ACESDV’s events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required for all candidates:

  • A commitment to the mission, vision and values of ACESDV;

  • A commitment to ending gendered violence and oppression;
  • Ability to independently handle varied work assignments and prioritize tasks;
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Ideal candidate will have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP desired.
