Webinar: The Intersection of Transphobia and Sexual Violence

Transphobia is hatred and fear of transgender individuals due to cissexist and heterosexist norms in our society. Due to high levels of transphobia, transgender individuals face much higher rates of assault, murder, and sexual violence than their cisgender counterparts. In fact, 47% of transgender individuals have experienced sexual violence in their lives. This hour and a half webinar will explore how transphobia can lead to sexual violence, how to challenge transphobia, and ways to be a better ally to the trans community.
