End Sexual & Domestic Violence
1 in 5 adults in the United States live with a mental illness – yet there is still so much stigma surrounding mental health in the United States. This webinar will provide attendees with some historical context surrounding the United States’ response to mental illness from the 19th century until today, and how domestic violence survivors living with mental health disorders are impacted. Attendees will also learn how mental illness and trauma are interconnected, and what it looks like to serve the whole person in front of us, including working with survivors who have mental illnesses and how to break down barriers they may face in our programs. Simultaneous ASL interpretation will be provided.
