This 2-hr webinar will examine the various opportunities and challenges of serving immigrant, refugee, or asylum-seeking survivors of sexual violence. Attendees will learn about the diversity in immigrant experiences, understand barriers to accessing services, recognize best practices for working with immigrant survivors, identify legal and immigration relief options, and review recent immigration law changes. This training is appropriate for all responders working with sexual assault victims (e.g. victim service providers, criminal justice professionals).
This training will include simultaneous Spanish interpretation, as well as ASL interpretation! The webinar will be recorded in English and with ASL Interpretation, however we are unable to record the Spanish interpretation at this time.
