Webinar: Military Members and Families Project Virtual Training March 2021

The National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) and the National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI) welcomes applications from military and civilian multi-disciplinary teams working with military-connected victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and dating violence to attend the 12-hour, highly interactive virtual training.

March 4th, 11th, 18th, 2021, 10:30a – 2:30p MST

Attendees are required to attend all 3 days of trainings, complete homework assignments, and all evaluations. Adobe Connect and Zoom meetings will be used for each day of training.

Intended Audience: Civilian-military criminal justice professionals and victim advocates working with military-connected victims

Training will be highly interactive utilizing scenarios throughout the training to

– allow participants to experience the civilian-military response structure from a victim’s perspective

– Identify challenges in accessing victims’ services and rights- Explore cross-jurisdictional issues (one/off installation)

– Importance of building and sustaining a trauma informed, survivor centered, military-civilian CCR
