Trauma Informed Supervision: Supporting Your Staff

Working with survivors of trauma can have serious effects on the overall wellbeing of staff members. Being asked to do “more and more with less and less” becomes a pervasive theme underlying work experiences, and supervisors have a pivotal role in providing Trauma Informed Supervision as a way to support, encourage and empower staff members. This four hour training will identify strategies for supervisors to elicit trauma informed competencies in staff, present principles that should guide supervisors’ interactions with their staff, and promote resiliency to lessen burn out among staff members.
