Technology, Advocacy, Victim Safety

This 4 hour training will address the many ways technology impacts the safety, privacy, accessibility, and civil rights of survivors. Participants will gain information on how technology is misused by people who abuse and the effects on the safety and well being of survivors. This training will provide resources for agencies that include technology safety plans, tip sheets, articles and research, specifically addressing the topics of data security, spyware, GPS monitoring, cell phone and internet safety, confidentiality, and privacy issues.
