End Sexual & Domestic Violence
This 3 hour training will encourage a discussion surrounding how we assist people in crisis in accessing basic needs. Often domestic and sexual violence victims/survivors come into our service centers and shelters without clothing, food, a toothbrush, or other basics that many of us take for granted. Depending on our program guidelines, Health Department regulations or budget challenges, the provision of the simplest items to people we serve can develop into a power struggle. We will explore ways to provide life’s necessities to people in a more respectful, compassionate and generous manner.
