End Sexual & Domestic Violence
This 8 hour training addresses how domestic violence affects children, families and parenting. The training is designed for home visitors and other professionals working directly with children and families. Topics will include the health outcomes related to domestic violence, reproductive coercion and birth control sabotage, how domestic violence affects both the victim and abusive partners ability to parent, mandated reporting, helping families promote resiliency for children, and secondary trauma for service providers. Professionals will be provided with tools to screen for domestic violence and offer appropriate assistance to those families where domestic violence is occurring.
