Domestic Violence & Developing Minds

This training will provide attendees a deeper look into trauma responses in young children and how service providers can support children who have been victimized or have witnessed domestic or sexual violence. It will include discussion and research on attachment, risk and protective factors, resilience, and neurobiological effects of trauma on developing minds. This training will also explore best practices when working with young children and parents to support children’s healing and ensure program readiness.
