#DontLookAway

October 20, 2015 By SiteAdmin

#dontlookaway

This month alone – Domestic Violence Awareness Month — 11 Arizonans have thus far died as a result of domestic violence. While we honor those most recently who lost their lives in Arizona, we have lost a total of 88, 11 of those being children, so far this year in 2015. #DontLookAway and know how to help end domestic violence.

What can you do?

  • Educate yourself on the number for the National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE).
  • Know the right things to say.
  • Offer resources, give financially or volunteer at your local program or state-wide coalition.
  • Raise awareness for domestic violence – wear purple awareness ribbons, add a purple ribbon to your facebook picture or attend a fundraiser or domestic violence awareness event.
